Hi Everyone, my name is Diane and I’m the founder of The 20-20 Grief Project – where we share stories of loss and grief from around the world.
In this video, I share with you my own journey through multiple losses and grief, and how that has led to the work I’m doing now as well as the foundation for this, The 20-20 Grief Project.
In 1993 my father died from pancreatic cancer. About two years later my brother was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Within that same year, my grandmother died and then two weeks after her death my brother died from his cancer diagnosis.
After these unexpected and repeated losses, I decided to focus my life and career on supporting others who have also experienced sudden loss and grief. And now, more than 20 years later I have launched The 20-20 Grief Project – to invite others to share their stories of loss, from at least 20 years ago, reflecting back on how their experiences were at the time of their losses and how it has evolved for them and continues to impact their lives today.
